Lunch/Breakfast at NSSF

All students are eligible for free lunch & breakfast through New School SF’s partnership with the National School Lunch Program.

All NSSF students will be able to eat a school lunch/breakfast if they would like one— all they need to do is request a meal during lunch/breakfast time. We will order a set number of vegetarian/vegan meal options and will reserve those meals for students with dietary restrictions.

Free & Reduced Price Meal Applications

Though all students are eligible for free lunch & breakfast, we ask families to fill out the Free & Reduced Price Meal application at the start of each school year. Having all families complete the FRPM application helps us secure private and federal funding for the long-term success of NSSF.

After completion, families will receive a letter with their eligibility determination: Free, Reduced, or Paid. Though eligibility determination does not affect access to school lunch and breakfast, it does help us determine appropriate pricing for our Exploremos program and School Bus Transportation fees.
